24 Keane Street – Category 3

41 Sayer Street – Category 4

43 and 45 Sayer Street – Category 3

Category 3 Properties

Have ‘some/moderate significance to the locality’ and are

defined as contributing to the heritage of the locality but with some altered or

modified elements, not necessarily detracting from the overall significance of the

place. Category 3 properties are not included in the Heritage List and are therefore

not statutorily protected under the Local Planning Scheme.

Category 4 Properties

Have ‘limited significance’ in the context of having less

significance than Category 1, 2 and 3. Category 4 properties are defined as

contributing to the history of the locality through its social and history rather than

its built form or may be a historic site. Category 4 properties are not included in

the Heritage List and are therefore not statutorily protected under the Local

Planning Scheme.

The Local Heritage Survey for each property is at newjunction.com.au/About/Heritage Houses of New Junction
