Scoreboard Update

Council at it’s meeting on the 9th July 2025 further considered options for the scoreboard, including retaining in its current location (on a proposed development site) or relocating to the proposed Residential Park.

It was resolved to ‘Note the intent to relocate the scoreboard to another area within the New Junction Precinct, subject to further community consultation.”

Officers proposed a three phase approach:

Phase 1: Planning and Consultation – engage with local clubs and community historians and facilitate design discussions via Midland – Guilford Ward meetings;

Phase 2: Detailed Design – Develop final layout and interpretive content; and

Phase 3: Implementation – refurbish and relocation to the nominated site within Residential Park, noting the timing is subject to funding.

Following Councils resolution the Assets will now commence Phase 1.
